About
Museum of Teeny Art is a contemporary art project that places real, collectible miniature artworks in quarter-operated vending machines at unexpected venues.
What is Museum of Teeny Art?
Museum of Teeny Art is a distributed exhibition platform for miniature works, unexpected venues, and collectible encounters. Each exhibition is a set of real, collectible miniature prints, and each work costs $2, paid in eight quarters.
How does it work?
A machine is placed at a host venue. A visitor pays $2 in eight quarters and a real miniature print comes out. The first machine opens November 1, 2026 at Here BK in Brooklyn.
Why miniature, and why a vending machine?
The project rests on three ideas: that art should be collectible, that it should be accessible at a price anyone can pay in coins, and that it should be found by surprise in everyday places.
A distributed museum
Museum of Teeny Art has no central building. Exhibitions are placed in unexpected venues and rotate over time, and the project is designed to grow into a wider network of host venues and collaborators.
The inaugural exhibition
The inaugural exhibition features work by NickyDigital and is an artist-led pilot of this format, at Here BK in Brooklyn.
